Last night me and the kids (niece & daughter) wanted to eat something a little different so we skipped hot dogs and got a little creative. We went to our local grocery store picked up some vinegar, italian sausage, beef and a marinade. Here is what the outcome was!
An island blend of sweet spices, pineapple, and chili pepper.
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup apple cider or white vinegar
2 lbs. chicken, pork or salmon
1. MIX Marinade Mix, oil and vinegar in small bowl. Reserve 2 tbsp. marinade for basting. Place meat or seafood in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat well.
2. REFRIGERATE 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. (Marinate seafood no longer than 30 minutes.) Remove from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.
3. GRILL, broil or bake until desired doneness, basting with reserved marinade halfway through cooking. Discard any remaining marinade.
Makes 2/3 cup marinade.
This was an awesome meal. We will definitely be doing this again. Another thing we didn’t have a grill!!
