my thoughts October 12, 2011

I haven’t really had much to post. I been busy with focusing on my school work and making sure I’m doing that and keeping up. So far so good with that. I got a B in my first class and I got a 100% on a paper that wrote about “How Has Technology Affected Families”.

Plus I am trying to keep up with shows. I’ve been enjoying HBO GO on my phone so that I watch past episodes of series that I have got into. I’ve feel in love with True Blood. Thought it was a little racy at first but it very addicting!

Not much really been going on in my world, just chilling! Trying keep my blood pressure down since I’m back on the meds. So i’ve put down the occasional cigarette and working on a meal plan that’s going to work for me and my daughter. Trying to also get back into reading the series Dutch that I took from my cousin’s library!

Thats it for me. I just wanted to show face since I haven’t been on here in a minute an posted anything! God bless and everybody enjoy this raining Wednesday!

I also haven’t said much about TV shows lately either. I rarely watch shows when they come on because my life if so hectic with work, parenting and college courses. I usually DVR my shows and then watch them when I am in the mood or on the weekend. Here are my shows that I am accustom to recording weekly.

These are my regular showes. Can you see that almost all of them are reality shows! LOL A couple of these shows I really shouldn’t be wasting my time with like RHONJ and Basketball Wives but a little drama makes for good gossip with my friends. Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Season premiere was last night for the new episode for Keeping Up With the Kardashians wasn’t really that interesting. Basically everybody has ventured off during their own thing. Kim starts the show of with her and Kris Humphries hanging out. Only person that really doesn’t seem to be doing anything exciting is Rob and maybe Bruce. I guess we will see has the season goes on. This episode was just the family reuniting and trying to find time to see each other all together once a week. Looks like the season may have something to look forward to. Time will tell. First show was a little blah.

Ice Loves Coco

New show added to my list of reality line up’s is with Ice T and his wife Coco. I am not really an Ice T fan nor do I really know too much about Coco; and I am not really sure why they needed a reality series but I like them as a couple. Coco seems to be an old school wife taking care of her husband and Ice T looks like he just adores her. I think it’s really sweet. Nice to see good old fashion love. Not sure if the show is going to be that entertaining but I do like them as a couple. I’m sure men will watch it to see Coco’s body on a regular basis.

 

Show Updates June 8, 2011

Khloe & Lamar

On the last episode Rob hears that he may become a father. Yeah Rosa got pregnant but ended up having a miscarriage. Lucky for Rob because she wasn’t ready but was willing to stand up and take care of his responsibities. Malika got really upset and cried. Poor Malika! Khloe decided to go get checked to see why she hadn’t got pregnant. Good news nothing is wrong with her! Hope they will have a baby soon though. Well this show has ended for the season. 😦  Sad to see it go. I guess I will starts watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians which start June 12th!

Son of a Gun

This show has also come to an end and I’m thinking that it may not be back for another season although I found it to be a very good show. Cory’s manager’s Ed Woods and Nick Cannon had been having problems every since the beginning, which led to an explosive meeting. Where Ed has a temper tantrum, hit his assistant with a chair by accident and storms out. That ultimately lead to him being let go on the final episode. Wish Cory the best in his music career. I think Young Money and Ncredible have to ability to take him to the top.

Real Housewives of New Jersey

This season popped off with a bang to only slow down each episode. Kathy and Teresa have had a few words. That died down. Teresa did right her brother and apologize. I still really don’t understand what Teresa did to her brother. Anyways they had there on Thanksgiving dinners with family and Teresa called her’s a Friends-giving where Manzo’s attended. I’m sure there will be some drama to come! We shall see.

Khloe and Lamar May 25, 2011

Quick update and shocker to me and I guess it really shouldn’t be a shocker. Malika and Rob getting busy! OMG! I wanted them to hook up but not literally hook up. I want them to be boyfriend and girlfriend! Rob and Malika said on the show they were hooking up but nothing more. Rob invites Malika to San Diego with him, he ditches her to hook up with Rosa Acosta. Yes the video vixen. I bet nobody noticed that did they! I was ticked and so was Malika! She gets a room and leaves the club. Long story short the show ends leaving you wondering were they going to try being together or not! Inquiring minds want to know! Guess you will have to stay tuned!

Also on the show Lamar’s bff Jamie hits rock bottom with his immaturity and Lamar has to call him out on it. He messes up some responsibilities he has with Rich Sol and Lamar puts Jamie in his place (in a friendly way). I was wondering if there was going to be drama but men can be a lot less dramatic sometimes than woman. LOL Well Lamar(Mr. Peace) saves the day and gets Jamie back on track.

I really hope they are coming back for Season 2. Love this show!

Real Housewives of NJ

Whoa can I just say I think Jersey may be better than the Atlanta cast! Drama, drama and more drama! Can you hear me! Man Teresa Guidice is tearing the screen up this season. This season 2 more cast members have been added and Danelle has moved out of the area and rumor has it that she is stripping now. (didn’t see that coming hey!) The two new members are Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga. Melissa is Teresa’s sister-in-law and Kathy is Teresa’s cousin.

Season premiered with the fighting at the christening after party. Joe Gorga and Joe Guidice almost got into an altercation like to raging bulls. Wow! Teresa congratulates her brother and Melissa, he basically is like why you over here now and then the camera’s go wild. Wow the season starts off with a bang!!

Episode 2 is continuation and everybody is talking about what went down at the christening. Posh has their annual fashion show at the Brownstone, Teresa, Melissa and Jacqueline walk in the show. Melissa and Teresa are cordial until Kathy trys to talk to Teresa. Of course Teresa begins to snap and she walks away before the lid completely pops off. Words are being thrown back and forth between Teresa, Melissa and Kathy and Caroline defused things saying “Your family if you want to kill each other do it in your own home and not mine”

Teresa and her family are really making the show because it really seems pointless to talk about Alby and Chris getting there on place, Ashley having a PR internship and wanting to move to NYC. So curious to see whats to come in the coming weeks.

Love & Hip Hop Reunion May 17, 2011

I have to say that this show has been one of the better reality shows this season and the reunion show was even better. The reunion was hosted by hip hop legendary Angie Martinez. It wasn’t as explosive as I thought it would be but it was enough. If you watched the show you know the dramatic situations that went on; so of course those carried on to the reunion. When I thought that Olivia and Emily had settled their difference it showed last night that they really had only just begun. I am glad that Chrissy was a friend and spoke her mind regarding Emily situation with Fabulous. Regardless if you are a rapper or not how do you be with someone for 8yrs and nobody in the business even knows that you all are together.

Of course Somaya and Olivia’s manager had words! Rich said somethings and Somaya consisently called him a vagina. You could tell that Rich was getting really irritated and I would bet my paycheck that if he had his way he would have smacked her ass up. Which I wish somebody would put her in her place. All that mouth and height you can still get a beat down. Rich took the high road and just walked off the set before things got uglier.

Mama Jones and Jimmy (debuting his new cut) showed up and boy did that end the show off on a note! Mama Jones was still feeling some type of way about the proposal. She cleary was pissed off at Olivia for lying to her and shoving a drink down her throat during the engagement. Just craziness!!! Mama Jones walked off the show twice and Jim grabbed up Chrissy and took her off the set. I think that Mama and Chrissy will probably never get along because they are so similar plus I think moms just don’t like Chrissy point blank! Jim needs to stick up for Chrissy and stop being a Mama’s boy. There is a way to stand up for who you love and not be disrespectful.

I am definitely looking forward to season 2, which was announced last night. Curious to see what happens with the Jones and Emily if she ever wakes up.

Son of a Gun May 10, 2011

Last night was my night to relax after a hectic weekend. I got to catch up on my shows that I missed last week. One of the shows I watched was Son of a Gun. OMG! I have to say this is an interesting show. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd episode. First let me say that Cory looks all of 12 -15 yrs of age and sometimes I can’t help but stair at his buckey beaver teeth. Thats not important. I don’t know how Cory is going to make it in the business if he doesn’t open his mouth and speak up. I think he is very talented young man and I wish him the best. I love his drive for wanting to stay in the studio and grind on his work. Now his father on the other hand is getting on my nerves!!!! I can understand him wanting the best for his son and helping out. Give advice but not tell him what to do. I really hope that his father takes a step back because I could see him possibly being the downfall of his career. So Peter needs to fall back and stick to playing the back and let his son think for himself.

Reality Show Updates May 2, 2011

Seems that the only things on TV these days are reality shows. I’ve added 2 more shows to my list. There are few others I tried to get into (Sinbad and Aubrey O’Day) but one show just was not doing it and the other i caught the end of the season. I also watch some other’s but they aren’t really worth mentioning because I don’t faithfully watch them.

First up on my list is a show about up & coming rapper Cory Gunz. If you don’t know him he is on Lil Wayne’s “6ft 7ft”.

Son of a Gun

Cory is the son of Bronx one hit wonder rapper Peter Gunz. This show seems to follow Cory in his struggle to make it in the rap game. I think as long as he makes the right choices and puts out some hits he will make it far. This show airs on Thursday’s @ 11pm on MTV.  Check it out!

Audrina

Family drama always makes a good show! I’ve been a fan of Audrina Patridge since watching the Hills. Watching this show I love to see how no matter how much money your family has or status shows that they are just like any other family. Show seems to be more about Audrina, her mom and sister’s. Her mother is something else!!! Seems very controlling and I don’t know if she had or has a drinking problem but her voice and demeanor mimicks that of one. Audrina reminds me so much of myself trying to be the piece maker through all the family desputes. I look forward to watching this show. Not to much drama and not to bland it’s just enough.

Braxton Family Values

On this most recent episode of the BFV it was Toni’s birthday and her manager and sister’s treat her to a few days in a Miami. Toni’s sister’s are a mess. Tamar tops the cake out of all of them. She so makes the show but is very annoying. Everytime I watch this show I keep saying to myself I’m not watching it anymore because of her. Tamar and her husband I don’t even know why they are married and I hope their antics are just for TV.

Last but not least 16 and Pregnant

This series never ceases to amaze me! The first episode of this season I didn’t do a post on because I didn’t not like it at all and instead of being super negative I just didn’t post on it. Now this 2nd episode I was a little confused. I’m not sure what nationality Jennifer was but I would have said Hispanic. She lived in Miami with her mother and father and brother in nice home and area but was dating a causasion male, Josh who seemed more of a lower class. At first I felt that’s probably why the family didn’t like him and because he was of another race. Jennifer and Josh were expecting twins and as the show went on Josh proposed and Jennifer accepted. Her family was not happy about that at all and didn’t even think that the twins should have Josh’s last name. After giving birth Jennifer signed for the babies to have their father’s last name which made the parent’s furious and cause arguing between her mother and Josh. Even after having the babies Josh and Jennifer were even sure where they would be staying with the twins. The mother of departure from the hospital Jen’s mother puts all beef aside and acknowledge’s that Josh is the father and he will need to be around to help out so they say that he can stay. Just when you think all is good things get sour after they get home. Josh gets irritated that not long after they have arrived home that Jen’s extended family comes to visit her and the babies and Josh feels left out and feels they should have had time to rest up before visitation. Most families know that soon as you are release 9 times out of ten your house will be jumping with people coming to see the babies! Josh leaves and isn’t heard from for days. Also tells Jen that he will not return when her parents are there. So when he does return he picks Jen and the twins up to take them to his families home but on the way there they began to argue and things take a turn for the worst. Josh almost hits Jen while he is driving (twins in the backseat) and puts her out on the side of the highway and she doesn’t even get the close the door and he speeds off. Grounds for family ass whooping!!!! She calls the police and then calls her mother to come pick her up. He returns to give her the babies and the cops show up and arrest him! The show ends with her not accepting any of his phone calls and her family being happy that she wised up. Unfortunately on the after show she seems to have taken him back. Chrissy Proposes to Jimmy!!! April 20, 2011

I know that I am late on my Love and HipHop review but I’m finally making my comment on what I thought of the show. Wow where do I even begin?!?! Let me just begin by saying I’m a little old school although this is 2011 but I feel a man should ask a woman to marry him. My take on it I just feel like it makes the female look desperate and that she is not being patient. (I’m not the most patient myself) When a man is ready to take that step in his life he will make it clear and he won’t be shy about expressing that. Marriage is not something that should be rushed or forced someone to be in. I can understand Chrissy wanting to get married and have kids but if Jim isn’t ready you need to voice your concerns and move on if he isn’t trying to comply.

Ok now this episode was something else because why was she trying to do a strip tease in front of his friends and family and why was Olivia not telling her that she shouldn’t do that!!! Speaking of Olivia I wish she would just put some music out there. She has a good voice and I love her song December!

When the show went off Jimmy hadn’t given a response. What do you think he said? I’m curious to see what his response was!!! Also you see that his mother wasn’t that happy, wonder what that is all about!!! Hmmm guess we shall see next Monday!
